The Master's Apprentices, also known as The Masters, were an Australian pop/rock band formed in 1965 in Adelaide, South Australia. The band featured a singer and songwriter/rhythm guitarist, and their earliest recordings showcased a blend of gritty R&B/rock influenced by British groups, combined with minor-key melodies. Bower left the group in late 1967, and the band faced instability, undergoing eight personnel changes between 1966 and 1968. In the early 1970s, they moved to England, where they achieved some cult success with progressive rock albums before disbanding in 1972.
