The Mighty Lemon Drops were formed in Wolverhampton, England, in 1985. This psychedelic-influenced, post-punk band developed a guitar-based pop sound reminiscent of their era. Originally known as the Sherbert Monsters, the lineup included a singer/guitarist, a guitarist, a bassist, and a drummer, with Newton and Linehan contributing most of the songwriting. In 1989, Linehan was replaced on bass. Unfortunately, the band disbanded in 1993.
