The Modern Tropical Quintet was a vocal and instrumental group formed in Copenhagen, Denmark, in the late 1950s. The ensemble consisted of four Brazilians and one Dutch member. The band featured Wilson Ribeiro on guitar, Waldemar Ribeiro on double bass, Edgar Teixeira on drums, Metropoulos on piano, and Sara as the vocalist.
