The Moments were a soul vocal group formed in Washington, D.C. in the mid-1960s. They experienced a series of lineup changes before achieving success as a trio. The group had notable hits in the late 1970s. The members included Al Goodman, born on March 31, 1947, in Jackson, Mississippi; William Brown, born on June 30, 1946, in Perth Amboy, New Jersey; and Harry Ray, born on December 15, 1946, in Long Branch, New Jersey, who passed away on October 1, 1992.
