The Monkees were an American pop rock group formed in November 1965. The band consisted of members Davy Jones, who provided vocals and played percussion and guitar; Mike Nesmith, who contributed vocals and guitar; Peter Tork, who sang and played bass, keyboards, and guitar; and Micky Dolenz, who was the drummer and also played vocals and synthesizer. Davy Jones passed away on February 29, 2012, Peter Tork on February 21, 2019, and Michael Nesmith on December 10, 2021.
