The Moon Lay Hidden Beneath A Cloud was a medieval martial ambient project founded in Austria in 1993 by musician Albin Julius and vocalist Alzbeth. The duo created music that ranged from pure ambient soundscapes to powerful martial anthems, with vocals that varied from soothing ethereal lovesongs to intense declarations of war and destruction. They released all their work through their personal label, Arthur's Round Table, based in Switzerland, and distributed by World Serpent. The project disbanded in 1998 following the end of Albin's and Alzbeth's partnership. In 2000, Alzbeth published ART 13, a complete book of lyrics, which is considered the final word on the project.
