The New Birth

New Birth is an American funk and R&B band that originated in Detroit, Michigan. The group was formed by former Motown songwriters, producers, and a music industry veteran. New Birth emerged from the amalgamation of several groups, including a male quartet and a female quartet, along with later members from other ensembles. Over time, these various members united to create one comprehensive group known as The New Birth. The name symbolizes a new sound and a new beginning for the band.
