**Bio: The Next Movement** The Next Movement is a Chicago R&B vocal group that originated in the 1970s on the city's south side. Inspired by the popular harmony groups of the '60s and '70s, such as the Temptations, Jackson 5, Dramatics, The Dells, and the Chi-Lites, the group chose the name "Next Movement" due to their smooth dance moves, which often prompted the question, "what's the next move?" Their first official release, "Girl, Why You Want To Take My Heart," came out in 1972 on the local Interplanetary label, followed by "Everywhere You Go (I’ll Be Around)" in 1974 on Crown Town, which led to an appearance on the TV show "Soul Train." In 1976, they performed in Las Vegas with Redd Fox at the Thunderbird. The group recorded an album titled "The Next Movement" in 1980, featuring the mid-tempo track "Never Stop Dancing," which received national radio play. In 1984, they were signed by music industry veteran Gus Redmond, releasing the classic stepper’s tune "More Love." The following year marked their first national hit with “All I Do,” which reached #49 on the Billboard R&B charts during the early years of the House Music movement in Chicago. Both tracks were arranged by the legendary Tom Tom. The group gained further recognition when they performed at Oprah
