**The Nosebleeds Bio** The Nosebleeds were a punk band formed in Wythenshawe, Manchester, England, in 1976, initially under the name Wild Ram. In early 1977, they changed their name to Ed Banger And The Nosebleeds, featuring a line-up that included Edmund 'Ed Banger' Garrity (vocals), Vincent 'Vini' Reilly (guitar), Phillip 'Toby' Tomanov (drums), and Pete Crooks (bass). As the band evolved, Ed Banger and Vini Reilly left, leading to a new version of The Nosebleeds in late 1977. The group then shortened their name to The Nosebleeds. During this time, Billy Duffy brought in Morrissey, who had previously run the New York Dolls Fan Club and had never sung before. Together, they discarded the old songs and created a new set, including tracks like “I Get Nervous,” “(I Think) I’m Ready For The Electric Chair,” “The Living Jukebox,” and “Peppermint Heaven.” However, Morrissey later denied being a member of The Nosebleeds, claiming he collaborated with Duffy after the band split.
