The Nude Party formed in 2013 in Boone, NC, where they embraced their namesake in a literal sense. United by isolation, house party antics, and a shared love for the Kinks, the Animals, and the Velvet Underground, they have emerged as a notable rock and roll act. As their local shows gained popularity, so did their notoriety with law enforcement, prompting them to seek opportunities beyond their hometown. The band, known for their self-booked tours and one-night stands, has shared stages with acts like The Growlers, The Oblivians, La Luz, Night Beats, and King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard. Their raw and stripped-down sound channels the essence of the British Invasion set against the backdrop of the Carolina mountains. Recently, they have begun recording their music in a sweaty basement with minimal equipment and a rotating cast of friends and collaborators. While they have become more comfortable performing clothed, they still encourage audience participation in the spirit of exhibitionism at their shows.
