The Nurons are a soul group from Salem, New Jersey, active since the 1970s and 1980s. The group consists of members Rudolph Gibson, Raymond Gibson, Daryll Gibson, Charles Bateman, and Otho Bateman. Having performed together for over 40 years, they have traveled across the country, opening for renowned acts such as Gladys Knight and The Pips, Kool and The Gang, The Spinners, Patti Labelle, and Blue Magic. Originally a four-member group, they faced the loss of showman Raymond Gibson, brother of lead Daryl Howard, who passed away in 2005. The Nurons, known for their contributions to the Philly/Jersey music scene, released several 45s in the 70s and 80s, including the rare northern soul classics "All My Life," "I'm A Loner," and "Disco Hustle."
