The Omens were a garage rock group active in the mid-1960s, often associated with Chicago, Illinois, though they actually originated from Hammond, Indiana. The band recorded two singles for Cody Records, with their first single, "Searchin'," gaining significant popularity. Their second single featured a cover of the Rolling Stones' song "As Tears Go By," which included vocals by the lead singer's wife and was credited as "Carol with the Omens." The members of The Omens included Don Revercomb on vocals and guitar, Gene Cooper on lead guitar, Larry Allen on bass, Tim Jones on drums, and Al Patka and Duane O'Donnell on organ.
