The Ordinary Boys are an English indie Mod rock band formed in Worthing, West Sussex in 2002. The band initially consisted of members Sam Preston, William J. Brown, James Gregory, Simon Goldring, and Charles Stanley. They enjoyed a successful run until their split in 2008. In 2011, Preston and Goldring reunited with three new members for a one-off UK tour. The band continued to tour in the UK in 2013 and 2014, eventually returning in 2015 with a new album and tour. In March 2021, The Ordinary Boys collaborated with a former member to record a tribute single for his father, who passed away in March 2019. This resulted in a double-A side single featuring "Legacy" and "Jump and Skank." The lineup of The Ordinary Boys has included the following members throughout their history: Sam Preston (vocals, guitar, keys), William J. Brown (guitar, vocals), James Gregory (bass), Simon Goldring (drums), Charles Stanley (drums), Alex Kershaw (guitar, vocals), and Louis Jones (guitar, vocals).
