The Outlaw Gang was a soul funk band from the St. Petersburg area of Florida, active during the early 1970s. Formed by Arthur "Speck" Colden, the group toured extensively throughout the southeastern United States, providing backing for notable acts such as Eddie Floyd, Rufus Thomas, O.V. Wright, and Z.Z. Hill. They shared a manager and agent with another popular local act, Child's Of Friendship Train Robbers. In 1974, The Outlaw Gang recorded and released their only single, which resulted from a collaboration with the aforementioned band. Following the regional success of their single, they were frequently hired by Clarence Reid for Blowfly and other projects associated with TK Records.
