The Palace Guards were an American garage rock band hailing from Metairie, Louisiana, a suburb of New Orleans. Active in the mid to late 1960s, their music was heavily influenced by the British Invasion, particularly by iconic bands such as the Beatles and the Rolling Stones. Additionally, their sound incorporated elements of folk rock and soul that were emerging in America during that era.
