The Pale Fountains

The Pale Fountains were formed in 1981 in Liverpool, UK, around songwriter Michael Head. They released their debut single on Les Disques du Crepuscule and later signed with Virgin Records at the end of 1982. The band achieved a minor hit in 1983 with "Thank You," which reached No. 48 in the UK charts. They recorded two studio albums for Virgin before disbanding around 1985. The band's lineup included Thomas Whelan, Christopher McCaffrey, Andrew (Andy) Diagram, and Michael Head.
