The Pandas, originally known as The Centurys, hailed from San Antonio, Texas, USA. They recorded a 45 in 1964 and gained a significant opportunity in early 1966 when they became the regular group on a local TV dance show called "Swingtime." As part of this transition, they agreed to change their name to The Pandas. The band consisted of Wink Kelso on vocals and harmonica, Will (Bill) Bellamy on guitar, Pat Wellberg on bass, and Jimmy Taylor on drums.
