**Bio: The Parachute Men** The Parachute Men formed in 1985, featuring Fiona Gregg (vocals), Stephen H. Gregg (guitar), Andrew Howes (bass and keyboards), and Mark Boyce (drums and keyboards). After two years of performing, they signed with the London indie label Fire Records in 1987. Their debut release was a four-track EP in May 1988, with "Sometimes In Vain" as the lead track. This was followed by their debut album, *The Innocents*, in August 1988, which made it into the NME's top 50 albums of the year. Two singles, "If I Could Wear Your Jacket" and "Bed and Breakfast," were released from the album, along with "Leeds Station," which was featured on the NME's *Carry On Disarming* video. Following the departure of Howes and Boyce, the Greggs continued as an acoustic duo until they added Matthew Parkin (bass) and Paul Walker (drums). In 1990, they released their second album, *Earth, Dogs, and Eggshells*, preceded by the single "Every Other Thursday." However, the album's release was delayed for over a year, causing a loss of momentum for the band. The lineup changed again with Canadian Colleen Browne replacing Parkin, and they later brought in Tony Hodges as a bassist. Unfortunately, after just one gig at Liverpool
