The Peddlers were a British rock/blues/jazz group formed by Roy Phillips, Tab Martin, and Trevor Morais, who first met in a Manchester music shop while seeking new ventures after their previous bands disbanded. The trio aimed to develop a unique sound, with Phillips describing their style as "blues based with a touch of rock and jazz," and they sought to set trends in the music scene. Their debut single, "Let The Sun Shine In/True Girl," featured an energetic R&B track and marked the beginning of a series of releases, including five more singles and an EP for the Philips label. Many of these tracks were compiled in the 1968 album "The Fantastic Peddlers," which included highlights like "Whatever Happened To The Good Times" and "Anybody's Fool." In 1966, The Peddlers established a residency at Annie's Room in London, also performing at venues like the Scotch of St James and the Pickwick, where they recorded their first album, "Live At The Pickwick." This album captured the essence of the mid-1960s London club scene. Their reputation as a live act grew, leading them to become the first British group to perform at the Flamingo in Las Vegas, after which they signed a deal with CBS. Their first album for CBS, "Freewheelers," featured eleven cover versions and one original song, followed by "Three In A Cell," which included four original tracks by Phillips. The
