Peeesseye was formed in 2002 in Brooklyn, NY, by Chris Forsyth (guitar), Jaime Fennelly (harmonium & electronics), and Fritz Welch (percussion, vocals). Over a decade, they released a series of LPs, CDs, and tapes that showcased their evolution from quiet and static improvisation to acoustic noise and intense non-rock music. Following the group's dissolution and the members' gradual departure from Brooklyn, they have remained active in various projects. Forsyth moved to Philadelphia and has released several acclaimed guitar-centric albums under his own name. Fennelly spent time on a remote island in the Pacific Northwest and has since re-emerged with the deep drone project Mind Over Mirrors. Welch has formed various groups in the UK and Europe, including the conceptual anti-band Asparagus Piss Raindrop.
