The Perfect Circle was a funk band based in Oakland, California, active from 1975 to 1979. Known for their contribution to "Bay Area Funk," the band emphasized a blend of jazz, disco, psychedelics, and horn arrangements. They were discovered by Paul Mack, Jr. and produced by George Semper, who was also a band member and the arranger of their music. The Perfect Circle released a self-titled flagship LP on George Semper's Inner City Records, which is now considered rare vinyl and was the only official material released by the band.
