The Poets were a Scottish Beat/Pop group hailing from Glasgow, active during the mid to late 1960s. The founding members included George Gallacher on vocals, Hume Paton on lead and 12-string guitar, Tony Myles on rhythm guitar, John Dawson on bass, and Alan Weir on drums. The group also featured additional members such as Fraser Watson, Norie MacLean, Ian McMillan, Hugh Nicholson, and Doug Henderson throughout their career.
