The Pointed Sticks are a punk/power pop band from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, formed in August 1978. Originally named Ernie Dick and the Pointed Sticks, the band consisted of original members Nick Jones (vocals), Bill Napier-Hemy (guitar and vocals), Ian Tiles (drums and vocals), and Tony Bardach (bass and vocals). They were later joined by Gord Nicholl (keyboards and engineering). Over the years, the band saw various members, including Ken "Dimwit" Montgomery (drums), Robert Bruce (drums), Jon Fereira (sax), Scott Watson (bass), Colin Griffiths (guitar), and Chuck Biscuits (drums). The Pointed Sticks disbanded in May 1981 but reunited in 2006 for three gigs in Japan.
