The Politicians were a soul group from Detroit, Michigan, active in the 1970s. They served as the in-house band for recordings at the labels, similar to the role that another group had at a different label. Known for their performances on the club circuit in the Detroit area, The Politicians also backed many touring bands that passed through the city.
