The Pop Group was a post-punk band from Bristol, England, formed in 1977 and disbanded in 1980. They reformed for a tour in 2010 and released new material between 2015 and 2016. In celebration of the fortieth anniversary of their debut album, Y, they released an album each of rarities, live takes, and remixes from 2019 to 2021. A tour was planned for 2020 to support this campaign, but it was cancelled due to the SARS-CoV2 pandemic. Tragically, both Stewart and Waddington passed away in 2023, effectively bringing the group's second phase to an end.
