Dov J. Elkabas, known as The Prophet, is a Dutch DJ and producer from Amsterdam of Jewish origin. He began producing music around 1991 and is recognized as one of the first Dutch Hardcore Techno DJs and producers. During his career, he collaborated with other DJs as part of a group that had its own record label. Towards the end of the 1990s, he transitioned from Hardcore to become a pioneer of Hardstyle. After a decade in Hardcore Techno, he started creating and producing Hardstyle and launched his own record label. The Prophet concluded his career in a memorable fashion, performing in front of 65,000 Hardstyle enthusiasts at the biggest Hardstyle event in 2023.
