The Puddle Parade is a one-girl band led by Ellen Evers, who creates delicate lullabies characterized by vague melodies and distorted, fading voices. Her music features a minimalistic crackling toy orchestra played in slow motion. Originally from eastern Germany, Ellen moved to Utrecht, the Netherlands, about six years ago, carrying with her cherished childhood memories. She employs a diverse array of tools in her music-making, including guitar, voice, melodica (alto and soprano), music boxes, a children's accordion, a toothbrush, an analog 4-track recorder, distortion pedals, a loop station, xylophone, zither, dictaphone, and more. Ellen has collaborated with artists such as Annelies Monseré, Tara Jane O'Neil, and Machinefabriek in various capacities.
