The Quotations was a doo-wop group from Brooklyn formed in 1958, consisting of Larry Kassman (lead), Richie Schwartz (1st tenor), Lew Arno (2nd tenor), and Murray Hirshkowitz (baritone). Managed by a songwriter, the quartet derived their name from one of their demo songs, "Quotations Of Love." They are best known for their up-tempo rendition of the standard "Imagination," which was released in late 1961 and peaked nationally at #70. Lew Arno left the group around 1962 and was replaced by Sandy Sonner. The group eventually disbanded around 1964.
