The Raining Heart is a studio project formed in 1986 by German musicians and producers Peter Heckmann and Tobias Freund, with vocalist Alexandra Graf (also known as Sarah Dean) joining as the third member. The project released two tracks, "Raining Heart" and "Alien Beat," as a Vinyl Maxi Single through Fog / Efa Records in Frankfurt, along with a track titled "Hollywood" released under the name Sarah Dean by Constant Musik in Germany. In 2019, the original Vinyl recordings were remastered and re-released in a Digital Only format by Rose Records and Publishing. Between 2020 and 2024, the tracks "Raining Heart" and "Alien Beat" were licensed by two German record companies, leading to their inclusion on CD (Jessy Lanza - DJ Kicks, !K7 Records, Berlin) and a Vinyl Maxi Single (Soundmetaphors - Thank You Records, Berlin) featuring remixes by DJ Castro. In 2025, previously unreleased tracks from the original 1985/1986 recording sessions were discovered, restored, and remastered by Tobias Freund, culminating in the release of a Three-Track EP titled "The Lost Tapes" by Peter Heckmann and Rose Records and Publishing.
