The Rascals, originally formed in 1965 in Garfield, NJ, USA, disbanded in 1972. They changed their name to The Rascals between November 1967 and February 1968. The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997 as performers. After their disbandment, The Rascals had several reunions and one-off performances. In the 1990s and 2000s, live performances occurred featuring different iterations of the band, including Felix Cavaliere's Rascals. In April 2010, all four original members reunited for a benefit in New York, leading to a series of public performances between December 2012 and November 2013, known as The Rascals: Once Upon a Dream, a blend of concert and theatrical event produced and directed by Steven and Maureen Van Zandt. Subsequent reunions were not possible after the death of a member on December 15, 2022. The current revival band on tour features Cavaliere and Cornish as its core members.
