The Rayons were a female soul group from Kansas City, Missouri, active in the 1960s. In 1967, they recorded their first singles at Chicago's RCA Studios. The group consisted of three female members, including two identified members and an unidentified third. They were quickly signed to Decca Records, which promoted them through the Memphis system for a single release, working with songwriter and co-writer/arranger. Additionally, they provided backup vocals for the track "Just a Taste."
