Their debut album, Universal Blues, was released in 2003 on indie label Undertow Music. Following this, Kozer left the band and was replaced by drummer Ben Greeno. The Redwalls’ major label debut, De Nova (2005), produced by Rob Schnapf, garnered them significant attention, including tour slots with Oasis. In 2007, the band was dropped from Capitol during a merger with Virgin Records but retained ownership of their third album, which they recorded in Malmö, Sweden with producer Tore Johansson and released independently as The Redwalls in early 2007. They also released The Wall to Wall Sessions EP through their own label, Princeton Lane Records, in July 2007. After the album's release, Greeno left
