The Reporters is a new wave group from Athens, Greece, formed in the early '80s. The band consists of Paraskevas (Voulis) Karamikes on guitar, Chrisostomos (Makis) Mouratoglou on synthesizers, Solon (Akis) Stathopoulos on bass, and George Roumanis on drums. Initially named Κηφήνες (Kifines), they changed their name to The Reporters after adding vocalist Costas Pothulakis. The band released a 7" single and an album but disbanded just a year and a half after their debut due to two members leaving for mandatory military service and one going abroad to study. Pothulakis had previously formed a band with his wife, Adda Labara, in 1981, with Stathopoulos contributing bass to their first 7" single, "I See No !". In 1989, Mouratoglou and Roumanis also contributed to the album "Positive."
