The Rezillos are a Scottish band that was formed in Edinburgh in March 1976. The original lineup included Alan Forbes (later known as Eugene Reynolds) on drums and vocals, Dave Smythe (later Dr. D.K. Smythe) on bass, Jo Callis (later Luke Warm) on lead guitar and vocals, and Mark Harris (later 'Hi-Fi' Harris) on rhythm guitar and vocals. After months of rehearsals, they expanded to an eight-piece band by August 1976, adding Fay Fife (Sheilagh Hynde) and Gail Warning (Gail Jamieson) on backing vocals, Angel Paterson (Alistair Patterson) on drums, and William Mysterious (Alastair Donaldson) on saxophone. The Rezillos performed their first gig on November 5, 1976, at Teviot Row Student Union in Edinburgh. Active primarily between 1976 and 1979, the band split in December 1978 but has reunited sporadically since 2001. The current lineup includes original members Eugene Reynolds, Fay Fife, and Angel Paterson, along with Chris Agnew on bass and Jim Brady on guitar. The Rezillos have continued to release music and tour regularly.
