**The Ritchie Family Bio** The Ritchie Family is a female vocal trio formed in the mid-1970s, with roots extending into the 2020s. Two of the original members, Cassandra Wooten and Cheryl Mason-Jacks (formerly known as Cheryl Mason-Dorman), were previously part of a group that disbanded around 1972. After joining the Philadelphia School of Performing Arts, they met Ritchie Rome, who would lend his name to the group, adding a "T" to create "The Ritchie Family." The Ritchie Family's first album featured session singers and musicians, with tracks and vocals recorded before the group was fully formed. Wooten, Oliver, and Mason-Jacks were not involved in the original recordings but auditioned for live performances, ultimately becoming the trio's official lineup. Their second album, credited to The Ritchie Family, was co-written and produced by Ritchie Rome and established Wooten, Oliver, and Mason-Jacks as the first official members. Over the years, the group has seen various lineups and continued to produce hits. The original lineup reformed years later and achieved a top 40 dance hit in 2016.
