The Rondels were an instrumental group formed in 1959 in Boston, MA. The band consisted of James Petze on guitar, his cousin Leonard Petze on bass, Raymond Pizzi on saxophone, and Lenny Collins on drums. They are best known for their single "Back Beat No. 1," which reached #66 on the charts in August 1961.
