The Sacred Mushroom was a prominent band from Cincinnati during the late 1960s, formed by brothers Larry Goshorn (lead guitar) and Danny Goshorn (vocals). Throughout most of their career, the band consisted of five members. They released a debut 45 on the Nashville-based Minaret label, which received some local airplay with the track "Break Away Girl." In 1969, The Sacred Mushroom recorded an LP for Parallax Records, an underground subsidiary of Audio Fidelity based in New York City.
