The Scarlets were an American rock band based in the New York City area. They gained recognition in October 1959 with the release of their single "Stampede b/w Park Avenue" (Dot 45-16004). The band's lineup consisted of Howard Herman on saxophone, Pete Antonio on lead guitar, Tony Lepard on drums, John Sanzone on rhythm guitar, and Bert Salmirs on piano.
