The Scorpions are a hard rock band formed in 1965 in Hannover, Germany. They experimented with various styles of rock music, including 1970s hard rock and 1980s hair/glam metal. The band is renowned for their 80s rock anthem "Rock You Like a Hurricane," along with other popular tracks such as "No One Like You," "Send Me an Angel," "Still Loving You," and "Wind of Change." The Scorpions were ranked #46 on VH1's "Greatest Artists of Hard Rock" and "Rock You Like a Hurricane" is listed as #18 on VH1's 100 Greatest Hard Rock Songs. After 45 years of performing, they announced their retirement on January 24, 2010, following a tour in support of their album "Sting In The Tail." However, they decided to continue after enjoying the tour, writing new songs, releasing new albums, and continuing to tour. The band has sold over 100 million albums worldwide, with some sources citing sales exceeding 150 million.
