The Secret Stars was an indie rock duo active from 1993 to 1998, comprised of close friends Geoff (guitar, vocals) and Jodi (bass, vocals). They chose their name to honor their talented friends who shone in secrecy. Their debut release was the "Wait" 7", which gained them popularity after being covered by another artist. This duo was a side project for Geoff, who was involved in another band at the time. Throughout their career, The Secret Stars produced two LPs, four singles, and two cassettes. Although there were plans for a full discography CD around 2002, it never materialized. Currently, three of their releases, including the two LPs and the self-titled cassette, can be found on streaming services. They played approximately 100 shows and toured six times, with a few concerts occurring even after their disbandment, which ceased around 2003. Their website, secretstars.com, featured information about the band, including news, discography, lyrics, pictures, and a FAQ section. Archives of the site exist from March 2000 to April 2006, with a restart in 2010, showing the same page until 2024, promising a return "mid summer."
