The Selective Service was a band based in Cleveland, Ohio, active from 1964 to 1969. They recorded two songs, "Shake" and "Green Onions," at Cleveland Recording in the spring of 1967. Their choice of cover songs was influenced by their manager, Ron Goldstein, who worked at Cleveland's Main Line record distribution. Goldstein facilitated the release of their songs on the short-lived Main Line record label.
