The Seven Souls were an L.A.-based soul band formed in 1964 and disbanded in 1969. Earlier incarnations of the group were known as Ivory Hudson. The band experienced several lineup changes over the years, including the addition of Bob Welch in 1964, with Ivory Hudson as the lead singer, Fred Murphy on drums, and Henry Moore, who contributed as a lead singer on the track "I'm No Stranger" and played saxophone. Other members included Anthony Lytle, Wayne Purnell on piano, Ron Edge on drums, and Billy Diez on bass. Following the band's disbandment, Bob Welch and Henry Moore went on to form another group.
