The Shadow is a British instrumental pop/rock band that was renamed in October 1959. Originally, they also served as the backing band for another artist, fronted by their best-known member, the guitarist. The original drummer left the band in October 1961 and was replaced by a new drummer. The original bassist departed in April 1962 and was succeeded by another bassist, who was later replaced in late 1963. When appearing with another artist, please use the designated name.
