The Shadows of the Knight is an American garage and blues rock band from Chicago, founded in 1964. They gained prominence with their cover of Them's "Gloria," which reached #10 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1966 after modifying a single lyric to avoid censorship by AM Radio stations. The band developed a dedicated following in Chicago, aiming to perform their interpretation of British Blues music, which has its roots in the city. The original lineup disbanded in 1967, but the band continued to perform and record until 2022, following the passing of vocalist and frontman Jim Sohns. The lineup included Jerry McGeorge, Warren Rogers, Tom Schiffour, Jim Sohns, David "Hawk" Wolinski, Jeffrey "Woody" Woodruff, Joe Kelley, and Dan Baughman.
