The Shells were an R&B vocal group formed in 1957 in Brooklyn. The group consisted of Nathaniel 'Little Nate' Bouknight as the lead vocalist, Bobby Nurse as the first tenor, Shade Randy Alston as the second tenor, Gus Geter as the baritone, and Danny Small as the bass.
