The Sheppards are an R&B and Doo-Wop vocal group hailing from Chicago, Illinois. They have made their mark in the music industry by recording for various labels, including Apex, Pam, Vee Jay, Abner, Okeh, Constellation, Mirwood, Sharp, Bunky, and ABC-Paramount. It is important to note that they should not be confused with another group also named The Sheppards from Chicago. The members of The Sheppards include Murrie Eskridge as the lead vocalist, O.C. "Perk" Perkins and James Dennis "Broeher" Issac as tenors, James Allen as baritone, Millard "Mill" Edwards as bass, and Kermit Chandler on guitar.
