The Shields were a vocal group hailing from Los Angeles, California. The members included Frankie Ervin as the lead vocalist, Jesse Belvin as the first tenor, Mel Williams as the second tenor, Johnny "Guitar" Watson on baritone, and Tommy "Buster" Williams as the bass vocalist.
