The Slickers are a Jamaican group formed by the brother of a notable figure in the music scene, along with members linked to The Pioneers. Although George, a member of the group, insists that he was never part of The Slickers, they are best known for their song "Johnny Too Bad," which featured in the movie "The Harder They Come." The first release credited to The Slickers, "Nana," is actually a recording by The Pioneers, who used the name as they were under contract to Beverley's Records. "Johnny Too Bad" appears to be credited to various members, with George's brother sometimes replaced by another individual.
