The Soft Boys were a psychedelic power pop band from Cambridge, UK, originally formed as Maureen and the Meatpackers in 1976. They disbanded in 1981 but reunited in 2001 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their album "Underwater Moonlight." This reunion led to the recording and release of "Nextdoorland" in 2002, after which the band broke up again in 2003. The vocalist achieved considerable solo success following the band's initial disbandment.
