The Sound Stylistics is a collective of some of the finest musicians in the London funk scene. The group features the classic rhythm section of James Taylor on organ, Gary Crockett on bass, and Neil Robinson on drums, along with guitarists Eddie Roberts from the New Mastersounds and Mark Van der Gucht from Galliano. Adding to their impressive lineup are Fender Rhodes virtuoso Jim Watson, known for his work with the Brand New Heavies, Incognito, and Zero 7, as well as a powerful horn section comprising Dominic Glover on trumpet, Andy Ross on saxophone, Mike Smith on saxophone, and Nichol Thompson on trombone, all of whom have ties to the Brand New Heavies and Incognito. The album 'Play Deep Funk' features legendary percussionist Snowboy, additional drums from Simon Lee, and guest vocals from Noel McKoy. Together, these musicians form The Sound Stylistics, a jam band of exceptional talent.
